Dalí: Literary Dreams

21 January 2022
19 March 2022

This exhibition put on at the CajaCanarias Cultural Space in Santa Cruz de Tenerife explores two of Salvador Dalí’s strongest aspects: variations on world literature and the subconscious. Dalí’s work shows the influence of history, science, philosophy, literature and religion, and it expresses those influences both objectively and subjectively, in connection with the outside world and the inner self.

The exhibition includes 116 woodcuts divided into two sections. The first section, “Life is a Dream”, shows a series of woodcuts produced by Dalí in 1975. The second section, inspired by The Divine Comedy, exhibits the series made between 1959 and 1963.
