Carnival Day Celebrations 2022

The Carnival season in Santa Cruz de Tenerife would not be complete without the Carnival Day Celebrations. After dancing and having fun in the Opening Parade till the wee hours, locals and out-of-towners get ready for more merrymaking on the following day. Families and groups of friends take to the streets wearing fancy dresses, in search for shows, percussionists or Carnival bands. Joining revellers of all ages and backgrounds, they hang around with the sole purpose of having a good time.

Carnival Day Celebrations take place during daytime on Piñata Saturday and the first Sunday of the Carnival season, gathering thousands of people in multiple locations scattered across town.
