El vicio de cantar – Serrat

In June, the Tenerife Auditorium is welcoming Catalan singer-songwriter Joan Manuel Serrat in the context of his farewell tour, Serrat 1965-2022, announcing his retirement after more than five decades sharing songs with his audience. Serrat is one of the most acclaimed musical artists in the history of Spanish music. Many of his songs are based on works by some of the greatest Spanish poets, like Antonio Machado and Federico García Lorca. His music explores a variety of popular genres, including copla, tango, bolero and folk.

The Serrat 1965-2022 tour, which began in New York in April 2022, will take Joan Manuel to a variety of stages across Latin America and Spain, to finish in Barcelona on 23 December this year. In his farewell concerts, Serrat will of course revisit some of his all-time classics – songs like Mediterráneo, Esos locos bajitos, El titiritero, Penélope, and many others.
