Holy Cross Religious Festival

On 3 May, Puerto de la Cruz pays tribute to the Holy Cross – the town’s Patroness - and celebrates the city’s Foundation Day.
The Feast of the Holy Cross involves decking out in flowers all the crosses, shrines and chapels in town – about 200 –, as well as the small private home shrines. In addition, there are firework shows on the quay and in Calle Santo Domingo.
