The Tenerife Museum of Nature and Archaeology (MUNA) is putting on a temporary exhibition by local artist Yapci Ramos, who gives visibility to Guanche women while questioning representations of pre-Spanish identities from a contemporary perspective. Based on her own historical analysis, Ramos explores the answers to the questions posed by the underrepresentation of these identities.
Her installation is the successful conjunction of historical research, artefact replicas, the geographic characteristics of the native territory and the artist’s creative imagery.
