Newspaper of Tenerife
Diario de Avisos is the oldest newspaper within the Canarian press. Founded in 1890 the newspaper was edited until 1976 on the island of La Palma and is currently edited in Tenerife. With its high circulation it is the second most important publication in the province. It is a morning paper that is published daily from Monday through to Sunday.
1999 saw an important change for the media thanks to the new rotary press that allowed the introduction of colour. This, along with the incorporation of supplements for weekend papers, has meant that the circulation of the paper has increased considerably with 12,000 copies daily and 15000 on Sundays.
Considered the paper that provides the best and most varied local, national and international information it continues to be the amongst the most popular daily newspaper for readers.
