Domestic architecture

Part of Arafo is known as “El Aserradero” (the Sawmill), featuring wonderful traditional Canarian buildings. The street of La Libertad has the finest examples of municipal domestic architecture. The most outstanding constructions are Casa de la Esquina de los Carros, Casa de los Nuñez, Casa de Ricardo Rodríguez and Casa de Marcelino Batista, which are closely bound to the area's agricultural activity.
