La Fuente Estate

This is one of the most illustrative pieces of Canarian stately architecture. It belonged to Juan Méndez “The Old”, a distinguished figure in the conquest of Tenerife. This vast estate was initially devoted to sugar cane crops, which were then replaced with Malvasia grapevines. Its most outstanding features are the two turreted towers and the adjacent chapel of Santa Isabel, which was also built by Juan Méndez and is where he was laid to rest, together with his wife and the last owner of the estate, the Count of Siete Fuentes.
