Canary Islands Fantasy Film Festival– Isla Calavera
In 2017, the first edition of the Fantasy Film Festival of the Canary Islands was held. This festival was created to bring fantasy films closer to residents of the Canary Islands.
The programme included an Official Section of Competing Shorts, a Selection of Full-Length Films (not competing), a projection of classics and special sessions. Those attending can also enjoy a range of parallel activities and meetings with the Spanish and international guests.
Isla Calavera is an initiative of the Charlas de Cine cultural association, the specialist publication TumbaAbierta and Multicines Tenerife. It is sponsored by the University of La Laguna, Área Tenerife 2030 of the Island Authority or Cabildo Insular and the Cine+cómics Foundation.
