Pico del Inglés lookout point

You will come to it on your way up the Las Mercedes mountain from the city of La Laguna. Carved into the stone, this lookout point will afford you a panoramic view over the entire north and middle of the Island, from the rock formations of Roques de Anaga all the way to Santa Cruz, as well as the ever-present Teide. From here, you can see the Tahodio ravine, with its dam at the end, and behind you is the Afur ravine. Beyond that are the cities of Santa Cruz and San Cristóbal de La Laguna above the Aguere valley. Just visible in the distance is the coastline of the Güímar valley, the ridge of Pedro Gil and Teide in the background.

This is one of the most popular lookout points on the Island and you will often find it bubbling with people and cyclists testing their stamina against the slopes and rewarding their hard work with these fabulous views. Make sure you've got enough room on your camera to capture some amazing shots.
