Baby Dance

The dance takes place on Christmas Eve after Midnight Mass. Groups of youths clad in traditional costumes, dressed as shepherds or wearing a white blouse with black trousers and a red sash set out on a dancing procession in front of the new-born baby inside the church. The procession moves to the sound of drums, flutes, tambourines, castanets and hand drums to the beat of tajaraste music.
