‘Everytime’, a fiction feature film co-produced by Tourmalet Films, has been recognised with the sustainable audiovisual production label awarded by the Tenerife Film Commission. Filming took place in October 2024 mostly on the coast of Punta del Hidalgo in Tenerife. The production thus contributes to the transition to a more sustainable industry. This recognition was granted thanks to the successful implementation of actions and measures that had been included in the Sustainability Plan.

Among the challenges of this production was the need to make all filming happen within four weeks in the Punta del Hidalgo area, with the exception of trips to the hamlet of Chinamada in the Anaga Rural Park and to the ferry dock in the Port of Santa Cruz. Executing filming this way has led to a significant reduction of C02 emissions generated while transporting technical and artistic equipment.

Other sustainable measures were the limited use of generators during shooting, the offer of a vegetarian menu by the catering service and the widespread use of refillable water bottles and installing water supply points, thus letting the entire team avoid disposable containers. In terms of communication, the team did a great job in raising awareness of sustainable practices and had a person working as a greenrunner during the shooting. Care was taken to ensure prudent use of water and emphasis was placed on raising awareness among the entire team about the unique environmental characteristics and native species on the set where the production took place. Special attention was given to the environmental fragility of the habitat, which was located in the Anaga Reserve protected natural area.

About ‘Everytime’

This film was directed by Sandra Wollner and is a co-production of Tourmalet Films, Panama Film and The Barricades.

A mother mourning the sudden loss of her teenage daughter befriends the boy the whole world blames for her death. While the younger daughter won’t hear any of it the two of them try to keep her alive by all means. And then one day she actually returns in the way her mother strokes her hair, how she laughs, how she suddenly knows things only her daughter knew and, above all, how she looks at this boy. A manic trip, a pointless hope, a sun-drenched séance.
