  1. Baraquito leche y leche con todo is the way to order it, you’ll get all the right ingredients. If you ever get off the beaten track and go to the lava tube caves in the north of Tenerife the small Spanish cafe by the entrance serves the best I’ve ever drank!!

  2. Thank you, so delicious.

  8. I have recently found the barraquito and it is really delicious. I am going to try to make it for myself at home! Yum

  9. How do I make barraquito without coffee mixing with Licor ’43’ when I pour it on?

  10. Coffee with condensed milk is yummy enough, but then the Canarians have to go and add another layer of yummy-ness to what is already delicious coffee. 🙂

Liquor 43 goes well, but as you say Tia Maria is a good substitute, even if it changes the taste of the drink significantly.
If you have the ingredients and a decent coffee machine at home, try experimenting – I really like mine with chocolate liquor too. I know its going a little off piste – but it tastes wonderful – add a sprinkle of coco powder (proper stuff, without the added sugar) instead of cinnamon. Or for a summery vibe, try Cointreau. 🙂

  11. By the way it looks and I remember (from bottom to top) is:
    Condensed milk
    43
    Coffee (Espresso)
    Foamed milk

My opinion of the BEST Barraquito is Asturias in the village of Los Gogantes. Mmmmm Delicious.

  13. The Canary Islands have also been winning our hearts for a long time, they give us inspiration for our music, as well as for one of our latest releases “Barraquito”, which can be listened to/ watched on YouTube : https://youtu.be/yPw4kxoY3aU .

  14. I have also enjoyed this drink in Lanzarote. It’s never on the menu. But if you ask, every barman has their own concoction. Yum yum.
