The heads of FixerCanaryIslands, Javier Navarro Escuela and Pierre Félix, have been frantically busy in the past few months as they worked for feature films, series and TV programmes.
Pierre Félix took part as Spain’sproduction manager in the film Gomera (The Whistlers), by director Corneliu Porumboiu, shortlisted at Cannes Film Festival in 2019. The film will be in theatres on 13 September. He has also been chosen by the international platform www.worldfixer.com and its clients as best fixer in Spain —ex aequo with Sorrel Downer, from Seville—. Please see the ranking here.

of production services for the “making of” of the series The Witchers for
Netflix, shot on the island of La Palma in March. They also took care of the
production services for the documentary series Volcanes y Hombres for
the French-German TV channel ARTE, shot in Tenerife, El Hierro and Lanzarote in
Their work in 2019 also includes the production services for the summer publicity campaign of the French department store Le Printemps (shot in February in Tenerife); for the documentary on players in the Canaries of the famous internet game HAY DAY Meet the Farmer, shot in July in Gran Canaria; and the tele-reality programme Cross the Atlantic for the Swedish TV channel TV4, set in Gran Canaria last January.

The film commission always explores new opportunities to promote the many and varied advantages that the Island offers to develop audio-visual projects.
The wonderfully warm climate of Tenerife makes it a year-round stage for filming and advertising photo shoots. A large array of producers and audio-visual equipment rental companies ensure shooting in an incredible variety of locations. In under an hour, you can travel from a desert to lush jungle, for example.
The German TV movie ‘Familienurlaub mit Freunden’ was entirely shot in Tenerife
Celebrated its 20th anniversary last year, Seven Islands Film is equipped to provide full production services to shoots of all sizes of feature film, television drama and commercial. The production company most recently provided services to two feature films back to back. The new sequel of successful Danish franchise film Far til Fire 2018 titled Far Til Fire I Solen (English title: Father Of Four On The Sunny Side) was shot in Gran Canaria and Familienurlaub mit Freunden (English title: Family Holidays with Friends) was filmed entirely in Tenerife with 100 extras and majority local crew.
The former has captured the heart of Scandinavian audiences since 1953. Gran Canaria based Seven Islands Film worked with the original producer of Father of Four, Asa Films, to access the 40% tax rebate in the Canary Islands.
Produced by Bavaria Fiction and Degeto, the latter will be broadcasted as a prime-time TV movie on ARD later this year.
To diverse its service production business, Seven Islands Film is currently in talk to co-produce qualifying films and television projects with producers from mainland Europe and the UK. The production company has worked on BBC show Sun Trap and serviced Paramount TV and Anonymous Content’s production the first series of Berlin Station which starred Richard Armitage and Rhys Ifans.
Seven Islands Film is attending Cannes Film Festival to reach out to international producers with projects in various development stages that maybe suitable for filming in the Canary Islands, where Seven Islands Film can act as service producer or/and co-producer. Miramar Media Entertainment took care of both productions in Tenerife
It is worth mentioning that all the heads of department of the shooting of “Operación Concha” in Tenerife are from the Canaries. This Spanish feature film, directed by Antonio Cuadri and produced by Abra Producciones and Miramar Media Entertainment, was shot on different locations in Tenerife for a week in April.
Rafael Castro was the art director, Eli Fernández the key make-up artist, and Roberta Martino the line producer.
Also in April, this company provided production services to the TV series “Tiempos de guerra” produced by Bambú Producciones for the Spanish TV channel Antena 3. This film was shot, among other locations, on El Correíllo, a wonderful period steam boat, moored in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
