San Sebastian Festival, MIPCOM, Shooting Locations Marketplace, CIIF Market and Islabentura, upcoming events for Tenerife Film Commission

Tenerife Film Commission will attend internationally renowned events to attract audiovisual projects that can be filmed on the island. In addition, the island will showcase the excellent local companies in the audiovisual industry that have experience in pre-production, filming, animation and post-production, as well as those engaged in the rental of equipment, production services, sound, laboratory, VFX companies, animation studios, scene vehicles and other needs when it comes to developing the audiovisual project. The team will be able to learn more about the tax incentives of up to 54% for animation, documentary and fiction films and series shot on the island, an aspect of great importance for the sector.  

The first of these events will be at the San Sebastian International Film Festival, where Tenerife Film Commission will be present on 23 and 24 September. The event ‘Canarias en Foco’ [Spotlight on the Canary Islands], organised by Canary Islands Film, will be held there. In addition, INCLUDE ASSOCIATED COMPANIES WHEN CONFIRMED will also be present.

In October, Tenerife Film Commission will travel to the Shooting Locations Marketplace, an event that specialises in locations. This will take place on 15 and 16 October in Valladolid. In addition, INCLUDE ASSOCIATED COMPANIES IF THEY WILL ATTEND.

It will also attend the key event MIPCOM – the television content market concentrating on the production of fiction and animation series, where Spain is the guest country. The event will be held from 21 to 24 October in Cannes, France, and will also be attended by INCLUDE ASSOCIATED COMPANIES WHEN CONFIRMED.

Meanwhile, the team will participate in the Canary Islands International Film Market (CIIF Market) (https://ciifmarket.com/), a co-production market for feature films and series that takes place in Santa Cruz de Tenerife between 10 and 18 October.

Finally, the island will host the last phase of the isLABentura Canarias Script Lab, organised by Canary Islands Film. This lab will focus on developing scripts for series and films set in the Canary Islands. Tenerife Film Commission will attend on 25 and 26 October.
