The Tenerife-based studio Atlantis Animation will be in charge of the animation of the new series inspired by footballer Leo Messi and produced by Sony Music Vision, Sony Pictures Television Kids, and Leo Messi Management, which will be broadcast by Disney +

Guy Toubes (‘Odd Squad’, ‘Transformers: Robots in Disguise’) will be the executive producer, responsible for overseeing the series’ scripts. The Canarian company, Atlantis Animation, (Tara Duncan, Miraculous Ladybug S5) will be the animation studio for the series and Dan Creteur, the director. The series was developed by Toubes and Creteur under the creative direction of Sony Music Vision and Sony Pictures Television – Kids, in collaboration with football player Leo Messi.
Disney Branded Television has recently acquired this animated children’s sci-fi series inspired by Argentinian footballer Lionel Messi from Sony Music Vision and Sony Pictures Television Kids. It is an epic saga in which a young boy named Leo is forced to leave his home in Argentina behind to travel through an alternate universe.
Each 22-minute episode is part of a coming-of-age journey that will serve as a mirror for viewers of all ages to see themselves reflected. The action-adventure series follows Leo, an ordinary 12-year-old boy with an extraordinary talent and a big challenge. The prosperous world of Iko is currently in ruins under the tyranny of the Giants who rule the ten kingdoms. Only one hero can save them, and he is the size of a flea.
Although the date is unconfirmed, the series will premiere globally on Disney+.
