MIFA and CIIF Market, upcoming events for Tenerife Film Commission

Tenerife Film Commission and the following major animation studios established in Tenerife: 3 Doubles Producciones, Atlantis Animation, B Water Studios, Mondo TV Studios and Tomavisión will take part in the upcoming edition of Marché International du Film d’Animation (MIFA), to be held in the French Alpine city of Annecy from 13 to 16 June.

These animation studios will attend to attract both co-production projects and offer animation services in2D and 3D CGI, as well as to inform on new aspects of the evolution of their companies. A good example of this is 3 Doubles Producciones which, now that it has consolidated its position in 3D animation, wishes to do the same with 2D animation projects. Mondo TV Studios also continues to distribute such titles as One Love, Agent 203 and Leo’s World, among others.

Tenerife Film Commission will attend this major event of the global animation industry, which takes place in parallel to the Annecy Festival. It will do so from the Animation From Spain stand, working in collaboration with Canary Islands Film to best advertise the island’s professional fabric and its tax rebates of 45-50%. It will also attend the 19th edition of the Canary Islands International Film Market (CIIF Market), which will be held from 12 to 16 June in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, where it will meet up with producers of feature films, fiction series and documentaries that are currently being developed, which have been selected for the event, along with other industry professionals.

CIIF Market, which has extensive experience in the film and audio-visual world in the Canary Islands, is designed as a strategic forum to attract producers and investment, find new products and publicise the benefits offered by the island for filming, along with the major tax rebates it offers.

This veteran forum seeks to contribute to boost the industry by attracting national and international companies and promoting relationships with producers and directors from the Canary Islands. Its aim is to forge synergies between scriptwriters, filmmakers, television channels, distributors, sales agents, etc., to drive creation and foster the co-production of projects for European and international markets.
