Feel the rush of adrenaline in Tenerife

Sporting events on the island, the finishing touch to 2023

Feel the speed in your veins, the intensity of each pedal and the energy of each step. Nature areas in Tenerife offer the perfect combination to enjoy stunning routes while adrenaline flows through your entire body. Specifically, the island has various sporting tests prepared for you from now to the end of the year, where you can bring out your surfing side as well as your most active and fittest sides. Can we also bring out the ‘beast’ in you?

Santa Cruz de Tenerife Marathon | 12 November

Avenida Marítima takes centre stage in the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Marathon, both the starting and finishing line, close to Naviera Armas Station, for those runners that turn up every year to challenge themselves.

Organised in three different distances that start with the 8km race, through to the half marathon and then to the main event – the marathon – a race that winds through the streets of the island’s capital without losing sight of the sea and with an almost entirely flat course. This could be a good stage to kick off your journey in the world of road racing to achieve the time you have always dreamed of.

If you want to take part, you can register on the website until 5 November.

Trail Santa Cruz Extreme | 17-18 November

With different distances, the ANAGA XTRM races are held on a mountain course in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, with different events to take part in: if you want a demanding test, the 60km race is the one for you, which you must prepare for as the course demands this. If not, you can opt for the 33km, 18km or 10km races. But that’s not all: the race also has a vertical option, with a climb of more than 500 steps that will envelop you in history with each step.

Organising sport for everyone is a crucial aim nowadays. Trail Santa Cruz Extreme has taken on the baton from many associations which, for years now, have contributed, through their hard work, to ensure that many people with disabilities can visit the mountains, transmitting values and solidarity through sporting competitions in their Jöelette category.

The event has recently obtained the environmental quality certification “Green CXM Trail FEDME” in its 19km category, based on the Guide to Good Practices for Holding Mountain Races in Protected Natural Areas.

Register before 10 November and pull out your most extreme side!
