Tenerife offers not only unforgettable landscapes and an enviable climate, but also a feast of flavours that will make you want to return again and again. Savour every bite, every sip, and let yourself be seduced by its outstanding gastronomic scene, which currently includes several Michelin‑starred restaurants.
The island boasts a variety of establishments recognised for their culinary excellence. These restaurants serve exquisite dishes and offer a unique experience that blends local tradition with innovative techniques. Tenerife’s chefs are committed to using fresh, high‑quality ingredients—many sourced directly from the island—to create menus that surprise and delight diners.
Among the most notable restaurants are those that have maintained their Michelin stars for several years, establishing themselves as benchmarks in the gastronomic landscape. Visiting them is an invitation to discover new flavours and enjoy cuisine that reflects Tenerife’s cultural and natural richness.
Exploring the island’s gastronomic constellation
Starting in the south of Tenerife, several of these acclaimed stars have been shining for years. One example is the restaurant of Martín Berasategui, located at The Ritz‑Carlton Tenerife, Abama (Guía de Isora) and led by chef Erlantz Gorostiza, who currently holds two of the island’s Michelin distinctions. In the same league is El Rincón de Juan Carlos, run by brothers Juan Carlos and Jonathan Padrón and located at the Royal Hideaway Corales Resort 5* GL, also awarded two stars. Within this same complex are two additional distinguished restaurants: Il Bocconcino, led by chef Niki Pavanelli, who reinterprets Italian cuisine using local products through menus such as Identidad and Il Bocconcino; and San‑Hô, where chefs Adrián Bosch and Eduardo Domínguez fuse Japanese, Peruvian, and Canarian culinary traditions.
The municipality of Adeje also boasts the Michelin star earned by the fusion‑driven cuisine of chefs Fernanda Fuentes‑Cárdenas and Andrea Bernardi at Nub, located in the Hotel Bahía del Duque. Meanwhile, at the GF Victoria Hotel, also in Costa Adeje, the restaurant Donaire offers a contemporary take on Canarian cuisine under the direction of chef Jesús Camacho, in a space with spectacular ocean views.
Turning our gastronomic gaze to Arona, specifically the Hotel Villa Cortés, we find Taste 1973, a concept awarded in 2023 that blends flavour, technique, and history in each of chef Diego Schattenhofer’s creations.

New Michelin stars: Haydée by Víctor Suárez and El Taller Seve Díaz
The island shines even brighter with the latest additions to its list of distinguished restaurants. Haydée by Víctor Suárez, now located at the Hotel Gran Tacande, has earned a Michelin star this year thanks to its Atlántico and Raíz tasting menus, where textures and aromas intertwine with Asian and Peruvian influences.
This year’s other newcomer is El Taller Seve Díaz, located in the centre of Puerto de la Cruz, offering two seasonal tasting menus—Surprise Menu and Long Menu. Its culinary proposal blends the flavours of the Canarian sea and land with Mediterranean and global influences, always highlighting local products. Under the direction of chef Seve Díaz, the simple and serene space becomes the setting for a unique gastronomic experience, marked by creativity and the team’s warm, attentive service.
Local products: another Tenerife essential
While the island takes pride in its growing number of Michelin stars, its local gastronomy also deserves recognition.
Tenerife offers a rich and diverse culinary tradition that delights every palate. From the famous goat meat to the iconic papas arrugadas and the island’s various wine appellations, local products reflect Tenerife’s authenticity and heritage.

To taste these traditional delicacies, it is highly recommended to visit the guachinches—family‑run eateries found throughout the island, especially in the north. And if you prefer to dine by the sea, follow your instincts and enjoy the island’s fishermen’s guild restaurants, where fresh fish takes centre stage.
So when packing your suitcase for Tenerife, make sure to bring an eager palate and a desire to savour the island’s extraordinary local cuisine.
