In the highest village in Spain, Vilaflor,apart from its known charms, a gastronomic event with potaoes as main ingredient and also the chance to learn more about Tenerife’s traditions as the preparation of charcoal kilns.

Within the gastronomical program in  Vilaflor, from April 29th to May 19th, 2013, has the peculiarity of  combining fantastic dishes with the unique chance of seeing charcoal kilns full process as you can see in the following video:

 We would like to highlight the special programme of activities that is taking place in May the 18th:

  •  09.00 h: Charcoal kiln
  • 11.00 h: health workshop
  • 12.00 h:Workshop: identification of Potato varieties of Tenerife
  • 14.00 h:.wine tasting
  • 15.00h: tasting of dishes from restaurants in Vilaflor
  • 19.00 h: opening of the carbonera
  • 19.30 h: has storytalling, night route and route of the stars.

There are many participating restaurants so I decided to try a wonderful dish :

I really tried to get the recipe and  I had no luck but smiles and the picture of the dish. Fair enough for a great menu.
