In the context of the 5th Performing Arts Festival of the Canary Islands (CAE), Rafael Álvarez, aka El Brujo is coming to Tenerife with a lyrical and humorous tribute to Ramón María del Valle-Inclán, revisiting topics like modernism, art and aesthetics and the history of art.
El Brujo’s performance is based on Valle-Inclán’s Divinas palabras, a play he read again during the Covid-19 lockdown period in Spain. This was the starting point for his exploration of the Galicia-born writer’s plays and poems, his idea of literature, and his views on the social and political situation in Spain and in the world.
