Ancient dragon tree and tower in Icod de los Vinos, Tenerife.

Parque del Drago

The one known as the Drago Milenario is an imposing and venerable specimen of DRAGO (Dracaena draco), declared a National Monument in 1917, this natural symbol of the Canary Islands rises, majestically, in the heart of Icod de los Vinos.

Around it stretches the Parque del Drago, a three-hectare space that invites you to get lost among paths where plants and trees native to Tenerife flourish. The route crosses landscapes that reproduce the main ecosystems of the island and leads the visitor, through the Barranco Caforiño, to a cave that recreates the way of life of the ancient inhabitants of the island of Tenerife, the Guanches.

The park is also home to ethnographic corners, a space dedicated to the old trades of Icod de los Vinos and viewpoints with spectacular views of Mount Teide, the Atlantic and the historic centre. More than a garden, it is a living space where biodiversity, culture and legend are intertwined to offer an unforgettable experience that connects nature and heritage.
A must-see place for those looking for the most authentic essence of Tenerife.
