Women and Heritage (Heritage Tours)

These twelve Heritage Tours introduce landmarks in the Old Town, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, while taking a cross-cutting approach to subjects like education, marriage, religion, slavery and citizen participation in public affairs.

All the landmarks visited in the tours are related to influential women in local history, using cultural and historical heritage to promote the lives and achievements of outstanding female figures in art, intellectual circles or religious circles, or just city life from different periods.
