El Médano, one of the villages in the municipality of Granadilla de Abona, is hosting its triathlon in June. Like all triathlon events, the one in El Médano includes a swim, a bike ride and a run. The swim will cover 750 metres, followed by a 20-kilometre riding course in two laps and a 5-kilometre run, also in two laps.
El Médano Triathlon turns 26 this year. The race is organised by the Granadilla de Abona Town Council, with the help of the Triathlon Federation of the Canary Islands.
