Every year in August, the town of Arafo organises a procession honouring St Augustine. Designated as a Feast of National Tourist Interest in 1983, it takes place on the last Saturday of the month.
The streets in Arafo get filled with ox-drawn wagons, bands of musicians and groups of party-goers. The result is a great festive atmosphere in town. The procession is part of the patron saint’s festival, which offers the perfect chance to taste typical dishes and local wines.
