How Long Does An Echo Last? (Fotonoviembre 2023)

Until 10 March, the Tenerife Arts Space is housing an exhibition that is part of the Official Selection of the Tenerife International Photo Biennial, aka Fotonoviembre.

The exhibition focuses on the work of the photographers who recorded the women’s liberation movement and second-wave feminism as they found their way into the public sphere in the 1960s and 1970s.

The photographs show a world that obliterated the subjectivity of women, in correspondence with the work of other artists, sending their messages from the standpoint of plural feminisms. The exhibition includes works by the following artists and groups of artists, among others: Irene de Andrés, Pilar Aymerich, Cecilia Bartolomé Pina, Marcelo Brodsky, Teresa Correa, Colectivo de Cine de Clase (Class Cinema Collective, led by Helena Lumbreras and Mariano Lisa), Maribel Domènech, Miriam Durango, Martha Graham and Juan Hidalgo.
