Several towns in Tenerife are hosting the traditional San Silvestre Road Race on 31 December, gathering high numbers of runners who wish to say goodbye to 2023 doing what theylike best.
San Silvestre is a sports event and also a celebration. There are versions of it all across the island, including in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, Los Realejos, Garachico, Candelaria and Las Américas Beach in Arona, among other towns. Every year, it draws lots of runners and sportspeople, as well as hundreds of spectators who come to cheer the athletes on.
