40th FIMC: Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen (Bremen Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra)

On 22 January, the Tenerife Auditorium will welcome the Bremen Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra in the context of the 40th International Music Festival of the Canary Islands (FIMC). A cultural icon of Bremen and of Germany at large, the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen is an ensemble like no other, offering fresh renditions of classical music and vibrant performances. This has earned the orchestra and their artistic director the compliment that their sound is “the sound of the twenty-first century”, as well as a well-earned place in the international music scene.

The Bremen Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra are coming to Tenerife under the baton of Finnish conductor Tarmo Peltokoski, accompanied by the Israeli operatic soprano Chen Reiss. They will perform Robert Schumann’s Frauenliebe und -leben (orchestral version by Conrad Artmüller) and Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 4 (in Yoel Gamzou’s version).
