40th FIMC: London Philharmonic Orchestra

On 31 January, the Tenerife Auditorium will welcome one of the world’s most famous orchestras in the context of the 40^th International Music Festival of the Canary Islands (FIMC): the London Philharmonic Orchestra. Led by Estonian conductor Kristiina Poska, the London Philharmonic Orchestra have chosen special works to play in their FIMC concert.

The programme includes Florence Price’s Violin Concerto No. 2, with South-African violinist Pieter Schoeman; Tajogaite, a piece by local composer Gustavo Díaz-Jerez, inspired by Mount Tajogaite; and, finally, one of the best-known compositions in classical music and one of the most frequently played symphonies: Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5.
