40th FIMC: Spanish National Orchestra

On 19 January, the Tenerife Auditorium will welcome the Spanish National Orchestra (OCNE) under the baton of German conductor David Afkham, in the context of the 40th International Music Festival of the Canary Islands (FIMC).

Afkham has been the chief conductor of the OCNE since 2014. Some time later, he was appointed artistic director too. In their January concert, the OCNE and Afkham will perform an ambitious programme including the Symphony No. 8 in C minor by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner (1890 edition by Robert Haas).
