2024 St Sebastian’s Procession and Festival

On 20 January every year, a special event takes place in Adeje. It is a procession in which horses are the stars. Hundreds of horsemen gather by the sea for their traditional bath. This tradition is a tribute to St Sebastian, patron saint of cattle breeders.

The procession, which goes beyond the religious sphere, brings youths and elders together, strengthening community ties and fuelling feelings of harmony and joy.
