The Day of the Cross

Celebrate the Day of the Cross in Santa Cruz de Tenerife on the 3rd of May! This day marks the culmination of the May festivities and commemorates the founding of the city.

The local residents adorn crosses with flowers and fruit and display them on the city’s boulevards for all to enjoy. More than thirty crosses made by associations, groups and schools are on display on the streets.
