The Librea de Valle Guerra will take place on Saturday the 5th of October to commemorate the victory of the Holy League over the Turks at the Battle of Lepanto in 1571.
The return of the Canary Islanders who fought in the battle is celebrated on the first Saturday in October every year. The battle re-enactment, which has been performed for more than 400 years, has been declared an Asset of Cultural Interest.
