Puerto de la Cruz International Carnival

The International Carnival of Puerto de la Cruz will fill the streets of this coastal town with the most fantastical atmosphere from the 15rd of February to the 9th of March. 

Among the unmissable events are the Grand Gala to Elect the Carnival Queen, the Burial of the Sardine (carnival closing ceremony), Mascarita Ponte Tacón (a crazy race that sees the competitors don fancy dress and heels), the Coso Apoteosis del Carnaval (main carnival parade) and the Grand Piñata Dance.
