A new Guía de Isora Mountain Race-Ascent to Tágara is being held on Saturday 2 March. Having become one of the most popular races on the island, it draws a high number of runners, who enjoy working out in a volcanic landscape.

Technically difficult (it is the race with the third highest altitude in the Canary Islands, reaching 2100 metres above sea level) and cutting across an amazing variety of landscapes, it is a favourite with racers from all over Spain and beyond, who can choose from three different courses, covering 10, 20 and 32 kilometres.
