Corpus Christi in La Laguna

Enjoy the Corpus Christi celebrations in the historic centre of San Cristóbal de La Laguna on the 7th of June.

This historic festival, one of the oldest in Tenerife, sees the streets of La Laguna carpeted with stunning tapestries of flowers, petals, volcanic sand and other natural materials, creating true works of ephemeral art along the route of the procession of the Blessed Sacrament. The evening before, residents, families, groups and associations work tirelessly to design and create the floor tapestries, in a community-led process that transforms the city into a vast open-air art studio.
