La Guancha celebrates its traditional Baile de Magos in mid-August, as part of the festivities in honour of Our Lady of Hope.
La Guancha’s Baile de Magos, also known as the Papada, sees hundreds of locals and visitors take to the town’s streets in traditional Canarian costume. The celebration features performances by street bands and folk groups and a festive atmosphere that helps keep one of the most deeply rooted traditions in the north of Tenerife alive.
