Tenerife Wind & Waves Festival, El Médano – World Windsurfing Championship

Every August, Cabezo Beach in El Médano hosts the PWA World Windsurfing Championship, attracting the world’s best windsurfers.

El Médano, the windsurfing and kitesurfing capital of Tenerife, becomes the epicentre of the global windsurfing scene every summer during the PWA World Cup. The event brings together more than 160 competitors from around 20 countries in the Wave and Slalom X disciplines, featuring big names such as Iballa Ruano, Víctor Fernández, Philip Köster and Ricardo Campello. During the competition, the public can enjoy complementary activities in and around the El Cabezo area. Free entry for spectators.
