Escenas de la vida conyugal (Scenes from a Marriage)

Argentine performers Ricardo Darín and Andrea Pietra, directed by Argentine actress and director Norma Aleandro, are coming on stage with Ingmar Bergman’s Scenes form a Marriage, the work that changed what we understand by “marriage” for good.

The play explores the disintegration of the marriage between Mariana and Juan, who share with the audience their experiences of life when married and after divorce. The characters’ experiences are bound to ring a bell in the viewers, who will be moved to reflect on their own lives and marriages. Bitterness and irony will help the characters on stage and the audience in the seats navigate some of the thorniest issues of the human heart.
