Arriving in the EU from the Canary Islands
If you are travelling to the EU from the Canary Islands, you can take items that are free of VAT and other taxes back with you, provided they are for personal use and within the limits given below:
Alcoholic and spirits
- 1 litre of spirits with an alcohol content of over 22% or 2 litres of sparkling wine.
- 4 litres of still wine.
- 16 litres of beer.
Tobacco
People entering the EU are subject to maximum and minimum restrictions that vary from country to country. If an EU country decides to apply minimum limits, they may only be applied to people travelling there by land or by sea (Bulgaria, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Slovakia) or to all travellers (Estonia and Romania).

Other articles, including perfume
Up to a value of €300 per traveller, or €430 when travelling by air or sea. Some EU countries apply a lower limit of €150 for people under the age of 15.
