Only a few minutes away from the Drago Milenario (Ancient dragon tree) in Icod de los Vinos and part of the “La Magalona”, shopping centre is this Ethnographic Museum, conceived in order to make known the culture of the Guanches, the original, native, pre-Hispanic inhabitants of the Canary Islands.

Through recreations and life-size scenes of the native people, using careful reproductions, the visitor has the opportunity to gain an insight into the history, religion, economy, customs and indeed the life of the Canarian natives.

The Ethnographic Museum faithfully reproduces the paintings and incisions made on stone (petroglyphs), found in the caves and shelters all over the islands, where the Canarian natives lived.
