The Dance of the Devil and the Deviless

In September Las Angustias (Icod de los Vinos) bears witness to the battle between good and evil represented in the form of a dance. At night-time, the Devil and the Deviless take to the streets with their host of giants and huge-headed figures to entertain the old and the young with their dancing. This tradition was first celebrated in the area's neighbourhoods and hamlets during the Corpus Christi festivities.
