Papa Negra Restaurant
Located in an interior room of the Iberostar Heritage Grand Mencey Hotel, the restaurant's dining room stands out for its elegant design. The combination of large windows and neo-colonial architecture creates an ideal atmosphere for any occasion.
Led by chef Alejandro Quintero, each dish is an innovation of Canarian cuisine. Among its most outstanding creations are grilled semi-cured La Palma cheese served with watercress salad, tomato jam, gofio jareado (a traditional Canarian dish made by kneading gofio—a flour made from roasted grains—with broth, then lightly air-drying it to develop a firm texture and concentrated flavor), and pork rinds. These delicacies represent just a sample of the creative culinary offerings that the restaurant has to offer, showcasing the freshness and authenticity of local ingredients. Among the products that are part of the menu are wreckfish, sama roquera (grilled rock sea bream), Atlantic tuna and cheeses from the archipelago. Each recipe is designed to enhance the unique textures and flavours of the region's produce.
In addition, during the weekends it is possible to enjoy the Sprunch, a unique experience that combines 90 minutes of relaxation in the SPA Sensations water circuit with an exquisite Gourmet Brunch.
* The dress code for the restaurant requires long trousers and a shirt with sleeves for gentlemen and formal attire for ladies.
