Cuban pianist Chucho Valdés, winner of six Grammy Awards, is coming to the Leal Theatre. He is one of the most influential musicians in the history of Afro-Cuban jazz.
In 1973, he founded Irakere, a seminal band in the history of Cuban music in the second half of the twentieth century. In this concert, Valdés will introduce his latest album, Jazz batá 2, featuring a jazz trio with batá drums instead of the regular drum set.
