Film Programme: Masters at the National Film School in Lodz

The Tenerife Arts Space (TEA) is screening four Polish short films. They were made by masters from the Lodz Film School – a major hub for the Polish cinema industry. The group of filmmakers from Lodz created a unique, personal film language that grew into an internationally acclaimed avant-garde style.

Organised with the “Proyecto Perfecto” Foundation of the Canary Islands, this film programme includes the first film by Krzysztof Zanussi: The Office (Urząd) (1966, documentary, 5’). The other films being screened are Two Men and a Wardrobe (Dwaj ludzie z szafą) by Roman Polański (1958, short fiction film, 14’), Erotic (Erotyk) by Jerzy Skolimowski (1961, short fiction film, 3’), and The Death of a Provincial (Smierc prowincjala), by Krzysztof Zanussi (1965, short fiction film, 28’).
