This version of L’elisir d’amore, staged by Pablo Maritano, is set in the Golden Age of Hollywood – a fantasy world made of various film sets from the late 1920s.

A melodramma giocoso (comic opera) in two acts, L’elisir d’amore was composed by Gaetano Donizetti, with a libretto by Felice Romani after Eugène Scribe’s libretto for Daniel Auber’s Le Philtre. It premiered on 12 May 1832 at the Teatro delle Canobbiana in Milan.
