St Augustine’s Procession 2022

After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the traditional procession honouring St Augustine is back in the Canary Islands. As usual, it will be held on the last Sunday in August.

The streets in Arafo will get filled with ox-drawn wagons, bands of musicians and groups of party-goers. The result will be a great festive atmosphere in town. The procession is part of the patron saint’s festival, which offers the perfect chance to taste typical dishes and local wines.
