Tacoronte Carnival

The carnival here goes by the name of “Piñata Chica” (the small piñata), and is held a week after Santa Cruz de Tenereife's version. Its most outstanding elements are the children's activities and the traditional classic car parade around the streets of this northern municipality. They are also true to the more typical events, including the musical group parades, the queen's election ceremony and the closing ritual of the Sardine Burial.
