Romeria de San Benito in La Laguna

July is the month for celebration in San Cristóbal de La Laguna. This festivity traditionally kicks off on the thirtieth day of the previous month, when the processions in honour of San Benito begin. From that day on, a number of events are held one after another leading up to the popular pilgrimage. This finally takes place on the second Sunday in July and has been declared a Festival of National Tourist Interest.
