    Trail description

The trail sets off opposite the Aguamansa restaurant (in the municipality of La Orotava), along the Los Caballos track and the La Orilla del Monte footpath. Roughly 300 yards after the footpath begins, you will see a turn-off onto the SL-TF 81.1 La Orilla del Monte - Pista de Benijos track, which is a shorter alternative to the SL-TF 81 trail. If you choose to stay on the La Orilla del Monte footpath, you will begin to head upwards after approximately 1.5 km (0.9 miles) and will come to the Benijos track, where the Lomo Chillero lookout point stands. Follow the track across the countryside back to the start.
